Some things to consider:

What do you need? A logo for use on a website? Ten black and white illustrations for a children's book? Character design for a flash animation?

When do you need it by? Three days, seven days, a month?

How are you going to use the illustration? A website header plus appearing in your catalogue? On t-shirts for one year?

If you've never commissioned illustration before don't worry - we'll talk through your requirements, ideas, possibly-not-entire-sure concepts and find out what you really need.

The workflow

You've briefed us and we've worked out what you want and when you want it. We'll send you a contract OR if you have bought illustration before, send us your contract.

All illustrators receive 1/3 of total payment upon contract signing. On The Wall will invoice you. Once payment is made then work begins.

Although it may differ from job to job, generally within the agreed timeframe, we'll send you a sketch for your comments.

After comments/changes, we will send you a second draft/final image. Once the image is approved, we will send you the final images at the resolution required.

For small jobs, payment is generally split into two parts - 1/3 upon signing and 2/3 upon delivery. For larger jobs, payment may be split into three parts such as on signing, on first draft and on final delivery.
